Dorothy Kleen

Dorothy Louise Kleen, 61, a native of Georgetown, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Dorothy’s family will gather for a time of visitation and sharing of memories on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, TX. Honoring Dorothy’s wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest in a family plot at Union Hill Cemetery in Round Rock, TX.

Dorothy was born November 2, 1950 to the late Arthur Lee and Vera Mosie Kelly Kleen. Dorothy was raised in the Georgetown area, graduating from Georgetown High School in 1969. She was a longtime member of Main Street Baptist Church. Dorothy worked for HEB Grocery as Cashier Clerk. Arts and crafts came easy to Dorothy, she was talented with handwork crafts, crocheting and needle work. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and gathering with family, she also had fun on her bowling league. Over the years Dorothy has faced numerous health struggles, her strength and positive attitude through it all was a testament to her German heritage.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Vera Kleen, her brother, Clarence Kleen and her sister, Mary Jane Kleen.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her siblings, Richard Kleen and his wife Anita, Robert E. Kleen and his wife Linda, Charles Kleen and his wife Marilyn and Margaret Dyer and her husband Floyd; her sister-in-law, Arletta Kleen; along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Dorothy’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to those who have cared for her over the last few years including the staff at the Sterling House, Georgetown Hospital and Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
