Stephen Cyrus Drake, 57, of Georgetown, Texas lost a four year battle against cancer at Scott & White Hospital in Temple on July 16, 2012. Stephen was born September 16, 1954 in Vesta, Arkansas to Teddy Gene and Leota Faye Park Drake. His family moved to the Georgetown area in the late 1960’s. Stephen graduated from Georgetown High School in 1973 and attended SWTSU in San Marcos. Stephen worked for Southwestern University in the Boiler Plant, from 1997 to the present. His many talents and friendship will be truly missed on the Southwestern Campus. Stephen lived for his family and loved his farm and his work. He is preceded in death by his father, Teddy Gene Drake.

Stephen leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years, Barbara Dunlop Drake; mother, Leota Faye Drake; his children, Kyle Drake and Lauren O'Ceallag; son-in-law, Daire O'Ceallag; and grandsons, Hudson and Pearse O'Ceallag; brothers, Cecil Drake and wife Dee, Anthony Drake and wife Anita, and Stanley Drake; sister, Patricia Forest; along with numerous beloved nephews and nieces.
