Lee was born on January 11, 1928 to Effie and Gerald Williams in Houston, Texas. Lee grew up in West Houston where he attended and graduated from Alief High School. In his later years, Lee supported his wife Betty in her lighting business selling to homebuilders in the Northwest Houston and Tomball areas.
Upon his retirement in 1999, Lee and his late wife, Betty moved to Rockport, Texas to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico (fishing, fishing and more fishing) and then later moved to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas in 2000 where he participated in various social and competitive activities.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 44 years, Betty Williams. He was survived by his son Andy Williams who was an essential part of his fathers care in his final weeks.
